01 · The challenge

Health ministries needed reliable ways to capture births, deaths and clinical data in the field—often in remote areas with limited connectivity—and to exchange that data with existing health systems using international standards.

02 · The solution

DevGate built a comprehensive Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) application for WHO headquarters on Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR). Partnering with ONA, we created health data collection apps for Zambia and Indonesia using the Google FHIR SDK, Clinical Quality Language (CQL) and FHIR resources, and integrated the CRVS systems with existing healthcare infrastructure for seamless interoperability.

  • CRVS application & admin portal
  • Android data collection apps
  • FHIR resources & CQL logic
  • Integration with national health systems

03 · The result

  • Deployed in Indonesia, improving healthcare access in remote areas and benefiting millions
  • Standards-based (HL7 FHIR) data exchange with existing healthcare infrastructure
